HELLO 2.0!

September marked the beginning of my fourth year of blogging on Stripy Tapir. I still remember writing my very first post in my old flat in Manchester, and waiting a full five months before being brave enough to actually tell anyone about it. Fast forward to January 2019, and this blog has posts about everything from the tiniest of saw flies to huge marine mammals, via nine different countries and so many taxa that I couldn’t bring myself to go through and count. Making this little slice of the internet remains one of my absolute favourite things- but in order to stop my WordPress storage allowance from giving up completely, it was time for an upgrade.

Welcome, then, to Stripy Tapir 2.0! Things are a little spruced up around here (sliding bar people, sliding bar!)- but it’s still just me, writing about things I’ve seen. Please bear with the inevitable broken links- I’m doing my best to work through the back catalogue- and thank you, as always, for reading. Wishing you the very best of wildlife viewing in 2019 🌱

p.s. Observant readers may have noticed that the stripy tapir in these particular pictures is, ahem, definitely a boy.
